More Ways to Give
We appreciate - and encourage - creativity at Path Home, even in how you donate to us. If you’re looking for more ways to give back to benefit the families at Path Home, check out the list below. The list is always growing, so be sure to check back often for new ideas. Email us if you’d like to contribute an idea of your own!
Adopt-a-Room
Make a sustaining investment in the families staying at Path Home’s Family Village Shelter by adopting a room. Your support will provide everything that families need to stay happy and healthy while they are in shelter. There are opportunities to sponsor everything from the kitchen and dining room to the basketball court, with each space playing an essential role in helping families heal. Your contribution can be made over three years.
Host a Donation Drive
Drives are a meaningful way to connect your kids, friends, and coworkers with local families experiencing homelessness. Are you having a birthday soon but don’t want more things? Want to engage your coworkers or faith group by giving back?
In-Kind Donations: View our wish lists to see what items are in need.
Monetary Donations: Mail checks to our office (6220 SE 92nd Ave, Portland, OR 97266) or make a gift online (TIP: This is a great way to encourage those long-distance friends and family to give!).
Donate your car
If you have a car that you are looking to get rid of, consider donating it to Path Home. You'll receive a tax deduction for the value of your car. By donating your vehicle, you will save yourself the hassle and expense of selling your vehicle. At the same time, you will be supporting a cause that you believe in.
Path Home partners with the Volunteers of America Oregon so that you can donate your used vehicles to us. All donated vehicles are evaluated by Volunteers of America Oregon mechanics, and management determines how to achieve the highest sale price possible, both for the donor and our local human service programs. Some vehicles may be sold to low-income individuals; others may be sold via internet ads or auctions. The Vehicle Donation Program was started in 1991, and the Volunteers of America Oregon team is qualified and knowledgeable in all DMV title procedures.

Planned Giving
A bequest is when you provide now for a future gift to Path Home by including a bequest provision in your will or revocable trust. It can be tailored to complement your financial goals and support families in need. It is the simplest way to make a significant gift to Path Home without affecting your assets during your lifetime. You can also specify for what purposes the gift can be used.
If you decide to include a gift for Path Home in a bequest intention, please notify us so that we can thank you and make sure that we have a clear understanding of your plans. Your notification will be treated confidentially, if you so desire. Please contact your attorney if you are considering this type of gift.
Matching Gifts
Maximize your gift. Ask your employer if they will match your contributions. Matching gifts represent a powerful way to give, and have value that far exceeds the dollar amount. Matching gifts amplify your personal contribution by bringing your employer into a relationship of support of Path Home’s mission.
