Born and raised in Portland, Samantha started her career in property management which sparked a passion for ensuring everyone has a place to call home.
While taking a break from her professional career to raise her three children, she quickly recognized the need to create community. She spent many years as the Volunteer Coordinator for her children's school PTO fostering service, community, and connection. During this time her family also began volunteering with Path Home at the Goose Hollow Family Shelter.
When returning to work as the Operations Manager at an environmental service company focusing on real estate inspections, she aligned with organizations that shared her commitment to housing equity. She became an active member of the PMAR Advocacy Committee, of the Women's Council of Realtors, of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP), and currently serves on the board as the Secretary for the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) PDX chapter striving to promote sustainable homeownership opportunities in the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. She also contributes to the community relations committee for the Oregon Realtists, helping to promote democracy in housing with a focus on Black & minority communities.
Samantha's transition from volunteer to employee at Path Home allowed her to align her career goals with her passions for creating housing opportunities for marginalized communities and cultivating connections.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Samantha cherishes time with her family and friends. Whether exploring new restaurants, embarking on travel adventures, or simply creating lasting memories, she continues to embody the spirit of compassion and community in every facet of her life.
